PRESS NOTE
Dr. Nowhera Shaikh is an Indian entrepreneur and founder of
the All India Mahila Empowerment Party (MEP) in 2014, with
the aim of providing political representation for women in India.
The party has a focus on social justice and empowerment for
women, and it has contested in various state and national
elections in India. She holds a Ph.D. in commerce from Mumbai
University and has founded several businesses, including Heera
Group, a company that specializes in gold trading, real estate,
and investments.
WHY?
During the process she was implicated in false cases and faced
many challenges to get the justice. During the period she
observed so many women prisoners are suffering with lack of
proper legal support, family support and financial support which
leads her to think to help the poor and poorest of the poor
especially to Bail for Deserving Inmates across India which is
the root cause to establish Heera Law Associates.
VISION & MISSION
HEERA LAW ASSOCIATES innovative approach to prisoner
transformation is radical. We are intending to collaborate with
prison authorities throughout India and build a model for
improving the quality of life for prisoners, and bailing deserving
inmates specially women leading to transformation across
India.
Prisoners live in deplorable conditions, leading to health
problems, in-fighting and depressive conditions. In
collaboration with Prison Authorities and the State Judiciary
system, HLA would like to introduce initiatives to bring
remarkable behavioural change in prisoners and also after their
release.

- Medical Camps like Skin Camps, Eye Camps
- Positive Thinking and Engagement
- Bail for Deserving Inmates
- Yoga and Meditation
- Spiritual Enlightenment based on their beliefs
- Care for children of Women Prisoners
HEERA LAW ASSOCIATES is a collaboration of attorneys who
have teamed up to provide their expertise to clients under one
name across India.
HLA provide employment of graduates from domestic legal
schools. Recruits start as junior associates and progress
through the ranks based on their output.
